Thuraya offers a voice-only monthly subscription plan for $35. A voice, fax, and data monthly subscription service is also available by Thuraya for $45. For both monthly service plans require a one-time $45 application fee.

Normal Thuraya Calling Rates

Normal Thuraya calling rates depend on the type of call that takes place. For example, a Thuraya to Thuraya satellite phone call will cost one dollar per minute. A Thuraya to Terrestrial Networks satellite phone call will cost $1.49 per minute. A phone call from Thuraya to another satellite provider will cost six dollars per minute. A phone call from Thuraya to any List B country varies. An example of a List B country would be Cuba. SMS services cost $.25 per message.

Thuraya Prepay SIM Card

The Thuraya Prepay SIM card costs $150. This is a service plan that works for satellite phone customers who wish to use prepaid airtime as opposed to a monthly account. In addition, a Thuraya Prepay SIM card is needed if the satellite phone customer wants to use a Prepaid 160 unit Scratch Code. All Scratch Codes must have an active Thuraya Prepay SIM card. The coverage area includes the Middle East, Africa, India, Australia, and Central Asia.

Thuraya 160 Unit Scratch Code

The Thuraya 160 Unit Scratch Code offers 160 units of airtime for two hundred dollars. This amount of airtime is valid for one year. It requires an active Thuraya Prepay SIM card.

Thuraya 80 Unit Scratch Code

The Thuraya 80 Unit Scratch Code offers 80 units of airtime for $129. This card is valid for one year and needs an active Thuraya Prepay SIM card.

Thuraya 50 Unit Scratch Code

The Thuraya 50 Unit Scratch Code offers 50 units of airtime for ninety dollars. This card is valid for twelve months and requires an active Thuraya Prepay SIM card.

Thuraya 20 Unit Scratch Code

The Thuraya 20 Unit Scratch Code offers 50 units of airtime for twelve months. This Scratch Code costs sixty dollars. An active Thuraya Prepay SIM card is required in order to make these minutes valid.
