Iridium creates service plans and provides advanced satellite phones, including the Iridium 9555. The Iridium 9555 package includes substantial rebates for one and two-year plans and a complete accessory pack. Local telephone numbers are also included. The Iridium 9555 is extremely durable and can handle almost any environment. Iridium airtime fees are much like the satellite phones that the company provides.

Iridium Monthly Service Plans

Iridium monthly service plans include Emergency plans, Tourist plans, Explorer plans, and Nomad plans.

The Emergency monthly plan costs forty dollars a month. Users do not get to enjoy any minutes and voice mail costs an extra five dollars. For minutes that are not used for emergency calls, you will need to pay an additional $1.39.

The Tourist monthly plan is available to users for eighty dollars. Users are given twenty minutes. In addition, voicemail only costs an extra $4.95. It will cost $1.29 for additional minutes.

The Explorer monthly plan costs one hundred dollars for sixty minutes. Voicemail is free to Explorer plan members. It costs $1.19 for additional minutes.

The Nomad monthly plan costs $250 for 240 minutes. Voicemail is free to Nomad plan members. Additional minutes cost one dollar.

Global Prepaid SMS

Global prepaid SMS rates vary. For example, it may cost users $150 for 75 minutes. The airtime rate for this plan is two dollars. If you decided to purchase 222 minutes for one year, you would need to pay $450 with an airtime rate of $2.03. If you purchased 750 minutes for six months, you would need to pay $745 with an airtime rate of one dollar.

There are four global prepaid SMS plans that last for two years. You can choose to purchase one thousand minutes, two thousand minutes, three thousand minutes, or five thousand minutes. Prices range between thirteen hundred dollars and four thousand dollars. Airtime rates range between $.85 and $1.30.

Iridium Regional Prepaid Vouchers

There are four North American Iridium regional prepaid vouchers. All of them last for six months. Minute plans range between eight hundred minutes and thirty thousand minutes.
